Obituary of Benjamin I. Anyanwu
High Chief Benjamin I. Anyanwu, born on November 10, 1957, peacefully passed away on January 17, 2024. He was the beloved son of Julius and Beatrice Anyanwu.
A man of great honor and distinction, High Chief Anyanwu touched the lives of many through his remarkable journey. In January of 1994, he joined in marriage with his wife, Chinedum Anyanwu, and together they built a legacy of love and devotion. He was a devoted father to his five children: Nadirah Winchester, Beatrice Anyanwu, David Anyanwu, Daisey Anyanwu, and Ruby Anyanwu.
High Chief Anyanwu's commitment to family extended to his three grandchildren: Nyasia Graves, Nahmere Graves, and Leonard Brooks Jr., whom he cherished dearly.
Educated at Rowan University, High Chief Anyanwu earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, a testament to his dedication to learning and understanding the intricacies of governance and society.
Throughout his life, High Chief Anyanwu exemplified , compassion, and unwavering determination. His impact on his community and beyond will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the profound legacy of High Chief Benjamin I. Anyanwu, a man whose spirit will forever endure in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 9-11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken.
