Looking back on all the memories in the Flores residence, I can't help but think of it being like a lighthouse in my life where I have always returned. No matter what season of my life I was in I could depend on the landmark where we all gathered together for a home cooked meal and to receive a whole lot of love. It was the spot for welcoming family members, visitors, extended family, and people in the neighborhood dropping by to say, "Hello!"
My abuelita made enough food to feed a village and taught me the value of a home cooked meal made with love. Every time I came I can count on my abuela sharing the seed of La Borinquen Querida, Tierra del amor of Old San Juan culture to remind me not to forget my heritage.
Abuela showed me the gift of forgiveness before the Lord and the value of putting others above yourself. Abuela only spoke to us in Spanish and that has helped me even today to help others at my place of work.
Abuelita, I can't thank you enough for your care, concern and unconditional love for us all, even asking us numerous times if we've had enough to eat. I enjoyed listening to your "bromas" with abuelo that bring me joy, even now knowing it came from a loving place.
Abuelita, like a rose, fairest flower above them all, your life and memories are a reflection of God's wonderful design. "Peace I leave with you not as the world gives, but as I give you. Let not your heart be troubled." John 14:27

My name is Corey Briscoe, a co-worker of Margie Flores-Jones. I am sending my heart-felt condolences to Rosa Braccio, Nilda Medina, Michael Flores, Margie Flores-Jones, and Enda Flores-Iannotti. I enjoyed the excitement and enthusiasm when Margie tells me how strong, loving and competent her mom, Mrs Rosa was! She also shared lovely things about how her (Margie) and sisters cared for mom during her time of need. Although I wanted to meet mom because in my mind, she is a Queen that raised these beautiful young Queens today, but I couldn't through the times of COVID-19 and also in protection of keeping her health stable. One thing I can say is that I could tell this family was raised with much love from Mr. and Mrs. Rosa Flores. May her Legacy be forever cherished through all who has either known or come to know of her! May all celebrate your life in heaven Mrs Rosa! Amen!!

I remember when I was first introduced to Mr.and Mrs Flores won’t go into details but they always treated me and looked at me like an addition to the family. She would always call me Charro not Charles and it was okay with me. She will be missed and I will miss her calling me Charro.
