Obituary of Gary Samuels

Gary Samuels, age 83 years of Cherry Hill, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2024.

Beloved husband of Rose (nee Waters). Devoted father of Gary T. Samuels and Shawn Claybrooks (Frazel). Loving grandfather of Aja Bailey, Andrea Samuels, Alia Samuels, Galen Claybrooks (Jasmin), Jordan Claybrooks, and Zion Claybrooks. Cherished great grandfather of Andre, Amauri, Nora, and Nyla. Dear brother of Marsha Samuels, Cindy Bundy, Cathy Samuels, and the late Gilbert Leon Samuels. Predeceased by his parents Gilbert Samuels and Adele Wilson (nee Peterson). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

Prior to retirement, Gary worked as a toll collector with the Delaware River Port Authority for over 20 years. He enjoyed golfing and coaching Little League sports and football in Fairview in his free time. When Gary was younger, he played tight end for the Palmyra Highschool football team. Gary loved to BBQ year-round and travel to Ocean City, Maryland where he loved spending days on the beach. He also was a head usher at several local churches and spent many Saturday mornings volunteering to feed the homeless. Most of all, Gary loved spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a sharp dresser and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

At this time, all services are being handled privately at the convenience of the family at a later date.
