Obituary of Elena F. Hays

Elena F. Hays (nee Bordi), age 95 years of Cherry Hill, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024.

Beloved mother of Louis Hays III (Diana), Elaine Classick, Robert Hays, Joseph Hays (Dina), and the late Maryann Cranmer (the late Ellis Harris). Loving grandmother of Louis Hays IV, Michael Hays (Edyineth), David Hays (Courtney), Thomas Hays, Alex Hays, Eric Hays (Kayln), Anthony Hays, and Dominic Hays. Cherished great grandmother of Louis Hays V and Ellie Hays. Dear sister of the late Frank Bordi and Louise Calogero (Joseph).

Prior to retirement, Elena worked for many years in banking as a Manager of Adjusting. Elena enjoyed gardening and watching Wheel of Fortune. She loved to cook and have Sunday family dinners and parties. Elena was a devout Catholic and was very involved with the PTA and bingo at Mary Queen of All Saints Parish, St. Cecelia's Church in Pennsauken. She will be remembered as a loving, kind, and generous woman and will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 9-11 AM at the Falco, Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 OR to Samaritan Hospice at P.O. Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176.
