Angel Diaz

Obituary of Angel Manuel Diaz

Angel M. Diaz, age 45 of Camden, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away suddenly on June 3, 2024 in Philadelphia.

He is the beloved son of Minerva Fuentes (nee Velazquez) and Angel Diaz; devoted fiance of Lydia Colon, dear brother of Alison Diaz, Cynthia Diaz and Marangeli Ortiz.

Angel graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1997, and for the past decade he worked at the Food Bank of Delaware.  He started as a maintenance coordinator and climbed his way up to serve as Director of Fleet and Logistics overseeing the Food Bank of Delaware's team of drivers and fleet of vehicles in both Newark and Milford, Delaware.  He was loved by his team and was known for his "can-do" attitude.  Angel was always willing to go the extra mile to serve his community.

Angel's generosity and kindness knew no bounds.  He had a big heart and infectious spirit; Angel would give you the shirt off his back.

He enjoyed spending his free time watching all Philadelphia sports, but especially the Philadelphia Eagles.  His godson, Landon, was the light of his life; Angel looked forward to fun weekends spent together.

Angel will be missed by all who loved him.  His legacy of love, kindness and service to others will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
