Obituary of Ronald Oliver

Ronald Oliver, age 71 of Pennsauken, passed away at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, New Jersey on June 6, 2024.  He was born in Summerton, South Carolina on June 27, 1952 to the late Simon and Celestine (nee Ragin) Oliver.

He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth Oliver (nee Brown); devoted father of Ada Felix, Tiffany Oliver, Justin Oliver and Austin Oliver (Fatima); loving grandfather of Jasmine Ramos, Edwin Ramos, Benjamin Ramos, Jahlilah Ramos, Zuri Oliver, Austin Oliver Jr. and Zahra Oliver; and the dear brother of Ernest Oliver (Gloria), Vivian Oliver, Geraline Champagne (Ozie), Norma Williams (Walter), Marquita Wen, and the late Samuel Oliver.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

Prior to retirement, Ronald was employed at Rutgers University in Camden as a grounds maintenance worker for more than 25 years.  He was dedicated to his church and worked part time doing maintenance at the First Nazarene Baptist Church to keep busy.  Ronald enjoyed tinkering and rebuilding cars and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.  He was a neighborhood father to all and was often referred to as a strong, but gentle giant.  Most of all, Ronald cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren
