Joseph Casey

Obituary of Joseph Casey

Joseph Casey, age 71 of Pennsauken, passed away peacefully surrounded by his entire family. Devoted in laws Louis Monoyios (Irene), Beloved husband of Lisa Casey, his spirit survived in his children Justin Casey (Selyna), James Casey (Jackie), Samantha Casey (Tyler), and grandchildren Connor Casey, Cameron Casey, Kayley Casey and Justin Casey, and dear brother in law Louis Monoyios (Dannett) and loving nephews Anthony Monoyios and Nikolas Monoyios.

Growing up Joe loved playing ALL sports. He was an all star. He was a man of many talents and he was the jack of all trades when it came to anything. He was a hard worker and hustler and loved working any day and night to support his family. At age 35 Joe found the game of golf, this game changed his life. The friends he made, the people he touched and the courses he had played truly touched his heart. He loved the silence of the game. He was a member of Pennsauken Country Club but has swung many of clubs all over the country. He has won many awards but his real trophy was meeting Mario Tobia. Being able to befriend and coach him brought so much happiness in his life.

Joe has helped many people near and far, friends and strangers and took pride in being involved with the Wounded Warriors, USBGA, running the youth camps at many Country clubs, Friends of Fairview, and Be the Solution. In his spare time he cherished his time with his family, joking around with his wife, and family, and being a Father and Grandfather was his greatest gift. He was an honorable man. Joe never let any illness stop him and he continued to fight every day for most of his adult life, but this fight was sadly his last and for now the legend has left the building.
