Donald Rendfrey Sr.

Obituary of Donald M. Rendfrey Sr.

Donald M. Rendfrey, Sr., lovingly known as "Pop Gump", age 74 years of Merchantville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 14, 2024.

Beloved husband of Sue J. Rendfrey (nee Carpenter). Devoted father of Tina Rendfrey (the late Rudy), Donald "Bud" Rendfrey Jr. (Kim), Bonnie Cedano (Luis), and Michael Rendfrey (Edith). Loving grandfather of Schyler (David), Beatrice (Mike), Megan (Brent), Shelby, Maranda, Brian, Tyler, Anthony, Suviana, Ava, LJ, Dominic, Marvin, Timothy, Maya, and Lilo, and great grandfather of Landyn, Seidon, and Ryland. Dear brother of the late Norman. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Special thank you to Pop's hospice nurse, Chrissy Stout, for the amazing help and care and for being Pop's guardian angel.

Pop was a proud US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and absolutely loved the American flag. He loved going fishing, camping, and playing horseshoes. He was a hard working, fun loving, family man who would give you the shirt off his back. Pop was a big fan of all Philadelphia sports, but he was especially a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan. His beloved Eagles were his heart and soul. He also loved watching movies, listening to music while enjoying his all-time favorite candy "Jolly Ranchers". Pop loved spending time with his family and friends at get togethers and especially holidays. But what Pop treasured most of all in his life was the love he shared with his beautiful wife "Sissy" for 53 years.
