Letitia Wright

Obituary of Letitia Celeste Wright

Letitia Celeste Wright was born on April 3, 1957, to the late Pontell F. Wright Sr. and Freda Bailey Wright. She was affectionately known to all as “Tish”. As a child, Tish attended the Lawnside Public School and completed her education in the Camden Public school system. Upon graduation, she attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology, she pursued a career as a fashion model in Paris. She eventually returned to the states and was employed at Barney’s in New York as a stylist, specializing in men’s fashion. She transitioned to working for Anne Klein. Due to unfortunate circumstances, her health deteriorated, and
she retired relocating to Atlanta, Georgia.  She passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024 in Pennsauken, New Jersey

Tish was known for having a unique style, an infectious smile, and always having shoes and handbags that matched. She was always willing to help everyone and established many lifelong friendships. In her spare time, Tish enjoyed music, dancing and watching classic television shows in addition to being a fashionista.

Tish loved her family deeply and everyone had a special place in her heart! Tish always had a way of engaging everyone. She would always call with a good uplifting conversation, whether it was about the latest happenings, Joel Osteen, or her latest adventure. Tish showed her compassion, love, and understanding for everyone she encountered.

She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Pontell Wright Jr., Desmond Wright Sr., Bruce Wright, four sisters, Cynthia Wright, Gloria DeSheilds, Nancy Coney, and Muriel Primas. Tish was truly loved and respected. She leaves to mourn one brother, Kenneth Wright Sr. (Angela), one sister, Brenda “Lynn” Moss (Bernard), one brother-in-law, Ronald DeShields, two sisters in laws, Shirley Wright, Michelle Wright, a god daughter, Danielle Carvain, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
