Obituary of Esther Gonzalez-Velazquez

Esther Gonzalez-Velazquez, age 82 years of Blackwood, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on July 5, 2024.

Beloved wife of the late Hector Velazquez.  Devoted sister of Doris Gonzalez, Ledesma Cintron (Ramon), Juan Gonzalez, Jr. and the late Gloria and Ruth Nilda Gonzalez.  Dear aunt of many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Also survived by her late husband’s family who helped care for her. 

Prior to retirement, Esther was employed with the Federal Government as an accountant for many years.  She had a lifelong involvement with La Parada San Juan Bautista, it was very important to her and her family.  Esther also enjoyed bowling in her younger years.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 642 Market St. in Camden.  Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to La Parada San Juan Bautista Inc., P.O. Box 2908 Camden, NJ 08101.
