Obituary of Lionel Braxton Cupee Jr.

Lionel Braxton Cupee, Jr., age 87 years of Pennsauken, passed away on July 14, 2024.

Beloved husband of the late Ramona Cupee (nee Cook). Devoted father of the late Michella Smith (Gregory). Loving grandfather of Lionel Braxton "LB" Horton and Leah Smith. Cherished great grandfather of Breylin Smith, LeAirra Brown, and Nyla Brown. Dear brother of Geraldine Williams and Barbara Tymes (Clinton). Also survived by his brother-in-law Russell Cook (Marge) and special family members Vinson Spruill and Victoria Hinson.

Lionel was a proud US Air Force Veteran. He loved airplanes and anything that had to do with them. Lionel was also a very gifted artist and painter. He loved cars, playing pool, and was an avid football and baseball player. He was also a huge Washington Redskins football fan. Lionel enjoyed music, and would often be humming, whistling, or singing his favorite tunes. He also loved attending church where he was a Deacon at Macedonia Temple Baptist Church in Cherry Hill.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 9-11 AM at the Falco, Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Pennsauken.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lionel's name to the Macedonia Temple Baptist Church located at Chapel Ave and Merchant Street, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
