Obituary of Rosetta Scott
Rosetta was born on July 9, 1930. She was a faithful servant of Jehovah for 64 years. From July 17, 1960, to July 26,2024, the day she passed away. She was imperfect and would let you know.
Rosetta was a caring wife and mother. During her life she had to overcome many hardships, especially with her heart. Rosetta went to school in Dover Delaware but stopped at the eighth grade. Even though she had a limited education, she would not allow that to hold her back. She enjoyed reading about places that she knew she would never get to visit. Although, she did get to Alaska.
Learning about Jehovah and his blessings was dear to her. Everyday she tried to live up to the principles found in the Bible. She enjoyed talking about the blessing from Jehovah to her children. grandchildren, and others.
During the sixties after her mother died, she took in her two younger sisters. She would drive her six children and two sisters to the meetings, assemblies, and conventions as far as New York. Meetings were important to her. She shared what she learned about Jehovah with many people during her lifetime. Thus, showing a deep love for Jehovah when speaking about the Kingdom. By the example she set in her worship it thus helped her children to accept Jehovah and get baptized. She did not take any nonsense from anyone and would go toe to toe with anyone when it came to her beliefs and her family.
Rosetta worked as a seamstress for most of her life. She worked at sewing small pillows in the fifties in the basement of her home as well as in a factory in Philadelphia. In the early sixties she worked on the early experimental space suits in Dover Delaware, and in the later part of the sixties sewed in a clothing factory in Hammonton, NJ. She would also help others with their sewing of clothes and costumes for the children.
Rosetta did not have much materially but whatever she had she was willing to share. It was her love for Jehovah and the hope of a resurrection and the thought of seeing her loved ones once again that helped her get through obstacles that she had to deal with in her life.
