Born in Philadlephia on June 3, 1913 to the late Nicholas and Stella Mealo of Camden.  She is the beloved wife of the late Albert Gentile; devoted mother of Stella (Robert) Berg, Pasquale (Barbara) Gentile and Frank Gentile; Dear sister of Loretta Montgomery and the late Philip, Julia, Grace, Frank, Steve, Dan and John;  Loving grandmother of Edward, Dwayne, Ernestina, Franca and Frank, great grandmother of Melissa, Edward Jr., Konnor, Korrina, Kamdyn Mae, Jamie Lynn, Gabrielle, Adrianna, Miranda, Jasper and Opal; great great grandmother of Kyle, and great great great grandmother of Keiran, Riley and Konnor; Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Philomena was extremely proud of having six living generations of her family, and will be remembered for her caring, loving and generous nature.  She was a longtime volunteer at Cooper Hospital, where she was recognized for making thousands of baby hats for the hospital newborns.  She was also employed for many years at the Cherry Hill Inn, where she enjoyed interacting with many of her regular patrons up until her retirement. All funeral services are being handled privately at the request of the family under the direction of Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 North Browning Road.
