Obituary of William M. Wood III

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of William “Bill” M. Wood, III, age 81 years of Pennsauken, passed away suddenly on December 23, 2024. 

Bill was born on May 25, 1943, he lived a life of quiet strength and unwavering love.  Bill was a man who found joy in the simple things—dinner with family, long conversations, discussions on current events, and the company of those he held dear. His generous spirit and gentle humor brightened countless lives, and he carried himself with dignity and as a gentleman that inspired admiration and respect.

A devoted father, steadfast friend, and true gentleman, William’s kindness, warmth, and generosity left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

To his family, he was a source of unconditional love and wisdom. As a father, William guided with love and care, teaching his children not just how to live, but how to love. To his friends, he was a steadfast confidant, always ready with a listening ear and thoughtful advice.

William’s legacy is one of compassion and grace. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the lives of those he touched.

Beloved husband of Rosanne (nee Nunez).  Devoted father of Amy Giardina (Scott) and Christi Wood and stepfather of Chaz Frank (Catherine) and Mary Frank.  Loving grandfather of Morgan, Cameron and Isabella.  Dear brother of Kimberly Farmen (Thomas).  Also survived by nephews, Tyler and Trevior Farmen. 

Relatives and friends are invited to the gather on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 10:30-11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. 

Rest peacefully, William. You were truly one of a kind and will be forever missed.
