Obituary of Teresa S. Mertsock

Teresa S. Mertsock (nee Straub), age 98 of Cherry Hill, passed away peacefully at home on January 4, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Beloved wife of the late John.  Devoted mother of John (the late Colleen), Richard (Jean), Daniel Mertsock and Terry (Dwight) Jessup.  Loving grandmother of Elizabeth Kenney-Szymanski, Steven Jessup, Katelyn Jessup, and Megan Schaffer and great grandmother of Kingston Kenney and Tyler and Blake Jessup.  Dear sister of Bernard Straub.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Teresa enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing.  She was a devoted catholic, praying the rosary daily.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 10 AM at the Church of St. Peter, 43 West Maple Avenue in Merchantville. Interment will take place privately at a later date at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ, with her late husband.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
