Obituary of Julian Rivera
Julian Rivera, age 73 years of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025 at his sister's residence surrounded by his family.
Julian was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Julian Rivera Gonzalez and Hipolita Berrios. He is survived by his stepmother, Maria Morales.
Devoted brother of Luz Selenia Rivera Nieves, Sally, William, Maria and Gladys Berrios, Maria, Celia, Lucia, Julian, Rosa, Luz Delia, David, and Angel Rivera Morales and the late Norma and Luis Berrios. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Prior to his illness, Julian was a clerk at Whole Foods on South Street in Philadelphia for over 20 years. He loved reading novels, playing chess and dominos and going on vacations with his family. Julian was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed playing the lottery. His family will miss his weekly Sunday phone calls to catch up.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 1:30-2:30 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 PM. Final disposition will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1818 Market Street Philadelphia, PA 19103.
