Jacobs, age 79 of Pennsauken, passed away on February 16, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden. Beloved husband of Bert (nee DelRossi) and the late Dolores (nee Cirelli); Devoted father of Jacqueline (Thomas) DiNunzio and the late John E. Jacobs Jr.; Loving grandfather of Natalie, John and Stephanie; Dear brother of Frank Jacobs and Elaine Brooks; also survived by many loving in laws, nieces and nephews. Mr. Jacobs was the executive director of the Pennsauken Solid Waste Authority up until his retirement and a longtime employee with Sheet Metal Workers Local #19.  He served as a member of the planning and zoning board for 9 years, on Pennsauken Township Committee and as mayor of Pennsauken, as well as a football coach and athletic director for St. Peters School in Merchantville, and as a P.Y.A.A. baseball coach and umpire. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday from 7 to 9 PM and Saturday from 8:45 to 9:45 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 North Browning Road.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 236 East Main Street in Maple Shade.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
