Johnson, age 82 of Pennsauken, passed away on December 31, 2011 at Medford Leas surrounded by his family.   He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Elizabeth Ann (nee McGlinchey) and his parents John Frederick and Erma Sophia (nee Kramer) Johnson. Walter was a loving father and dedicated family man and is survived by four sons; Walter H. Jr. of Bellmawr, James P. (Deborah) of Maple Shade, John F. of Cherry Hill, and Michael S. (Susan) of Oaklyn; a daughter Stacey Ann Troupe (David) of Mullica Hill.  He is the loving grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 2 and dear brother of Lydia Vasey and Florence Hall. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of VFW Post 705 in Camden, Treasurer of American Legion Post 68 in Merchantville, longtime Committee Chair of Boy Scout Troop 142 in Pennsauken and Committee member of Boy Scout Troop 119 in Merchantville.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being outdoors in the woods or on the water. He worked for RCA in Camden as a Contract Administrator in their fledgling Mobile Communications program.  He then went to work for the Federal Government in the Department of Health Education and Welfare in Philadelphia, PA and in 1980 was transferred to the US Department of Education as a Grants Management Specialist until his retirement in 1994. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the falco/CARUSO & leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 North Browning Road. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Friday at the Martin Luther Chapel, 4100 Terrace Avenue, Pennsauken, NJ 08109.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson.
