He was born September 28, 1992 in Philadelphia, the son of Christopher and Glenda (Aviles) Bailey. Buddy was a wonderful young man, who was loving and funny. He graduated from Cherry Hill West High School in 2011, where he was the Quarterback of the Lions football team (2010 & 2011), Jersey #5. He was currently enrolled at Widener University majoring in Political Science. Ray as he was affectionately called by his peers was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity since 2012. He was also member of the Widener University debate team. Ray is survived by his parents Christopher and Glenda Bailey of Cherry Hill; his three sisters Jazmin, Quetsy and Aja. His four closest friends, Julian Bond, Aseel Mazahreh, Edwin Cortez and Harlen Hoffman. He also leaves his maternal grandparent, Audalina Astacio, of Philadelphia; and his paternal grandparent, Lucy Bailey of Pennsauken. Lastly, he is survived by a host of aunts, uncles and cousins and countless friends. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Falco Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home in Pennsauken. The viewing will be held on Wednesday, 4/3/13 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m., at The Rising Church, 3465 Haddonfield Road, Pennsauken. The service will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers , the family asks that you consider donations to the Ray Bailey Memorial Fund PNC Bank Acct#8056487029, where proceeds, above and beyond will go towards a Scholarship Fund, to be giving once a year in his memory.
