Devoted husband of the late Ellen (nee Hansbury); Devoted father of Maryellen McDonald and Claire Fanelle and her husband Larry; Loving grandfather of Matthew J., Ryan M., and Patrick S. Downs, and Gabriel L., Bartholomew D., and Erica C. Fanelle and great grandfather of Casey, Allison, and William. Dear brother of Robert McDonald and Joan Geiger. Mr. McDonald was a US Army veteran serving in World War II Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation and funeral on Wednesday from 10 AM at the parish of the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta , Church of Holy Saviour, 50 Emerald Ave in Westmont, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill . The family requests memorial donations be made to the Domenica Foundation, 14 Sbar Blvd., Moorestown, NJ 08057 for the education of underprivileged high school students of Camden.
