Schmidt, age 72 of Pennsauken, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2014. Devoted father of Jennifer (Jack) Spiker; Loving grandfather of Abigail and Ray; Dear brother of Robert (Barbara) Schimdt; Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Schmidt was raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, in the Holy Name of Jesus Parish.  He attended West Catholic High School for Boys and received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from LaSalle University.  He was a proud member of the Life @ Lourdes program, and a member of the Stonegate community at Saint Stephens. He was a known jokester, especially on April Fool's Day.  He loved the Phillies, and his life's wish was for the Phillies to beat the Yankees.  His grandchildren brought him so much joy in his life, and he will be remembered for always having a smile on his face. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday from 8:30 to 10 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 North Browning Road.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Stephen, 6300 Browning Road, Pennsauken, NJ 08109.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson.   The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Stephens Church at the above address, or to Life @ Lourdes, 2475 McClellan Ave, Pennsauken Township, NJ 08109.  Info, condolences and guestbook at www.carusocare.com
