Slim, Sr. passed away on October 14, 2013, of Pennsauken.  Age 76 years.  Beloved husband of Marleen R. (nee Kohlmyer).  Devoted father of Steven Slim (Patricia), Lisa Abbatelli, Shelly Grockenberger (Richard Jr.) and the late Arthur W. Jr.  Loving grandfather of Nicole, John, Alyson, Briana, Mercedes, Brandon and Angelina and great grandfather of Dominic, Bella and Alexis. Mr. Slim worked for many years at John C. Meyer and sons in Philadelphia as a typesetter.  He was a United States Army Veteran, member of the Highland Fire Company in Pennsauken, member of The Rising Church in Pennsauken and a member of the Cradle of Liberty Antique Fire Apparatus Association.  Mr. Slim also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday from 9:30-11 AM at The Rising Church, 3465 Haddonfield Rd in Pennsauken, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill.  In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations to the Animal Adoption Center, 501 N. Berlin Rd, Lindenwold, NJ 08021.
