Proud and caring Great Grandmother to Matthew, Ellie, Grace Cecilia, Andrew, Lindsay, Faith and Amber. Dear sister- in- law of Emma Wine. The youngest of 10 Children, she is the final member to pass away. She spent most of her adult life caring so lovingly for her husband and 2 daughters and ultimately her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. She lived her entire life in Southern New Jersey. Her early married life was spent in the Fairview section of Camden, in her later years the family moved to Medford. More recently she lived in Marlton. She spent the final months of her life under the special care of the staff at the Lutheran Crossings in Moorestown, NJ. Hazel was a very delightful, loving person that brought happiness everywhere she went. Hazel was always the life of the party. Her lovely smile brightened the entire room whenever she entered and the joy of the occasion rose to a much higher height. She enjoyed being host to family and friends for many parties and holiday gatherings at her various homes throughout her life. Even during her final illness, despite her discomfort, she continued to bring laughter and happy experiences to those who visited her. She was a proud 50 years member of the Eastern Star. Also an active member for many years with Pinelands Young at Heart, TOPs, and The Protestant Community Church of Medford (Cathedral of the Woods). She loved her part time job, working at "The Lucky 7 Restaurant" in Medford. The employer and all employees say that the happiest days were when Hazel was working. She was dearly loved by the entire family and all that came to know her. Because of her delight in dressing in different shades of purple clothing, she was affectionately named by her family "Purple Haze." She will be dearly missed by so many. Yet we know that she is now where we all some day pray to be...with her loving God.
