Obituary of John J. Von Alex
JOHN J. VON ALEX 68 YEARS
John, born and raised in Camden, NJ, a 40+year resident of Pennsauken and most recently Merchantville, passed away on July 29, 2015, just 59 days since his beloved sweetheart, Dee, passed. He just could not go on without her- he missed her so much.
Son of the late Vincent and Margaret (Dean)Von Alex; Beloved and devoted husband to the late Dolores M. "Dee" (O'Brien) for 46 years, and daddy to his four - legged baby girl "Kelsey;" Loving and devoted baby brother to Carol Harrington, of Willingboro, and the late Theresa Long of Pennsauken; Cherished brother in law to Jim O'Brien (Pat) of Pennsauken, Patti O' Brien of West Deptford, and Terry (Joe) Scavuzzo of Pennsauken. He was adored and loved by many nieces, nephews and great nieces & nephews, and friends who all enjoyed his company and loved to party with him.
John went to Woodrow Wilson High and retired after 40 years working for Standard Brands, Nabisco in Pennsauken and Puratos in Cherry Hill.
John will be remembered as "the life of the party!" He enjoyed camping, traveling with family & friends, swimming in the ocean and was a Miami Dolphins fan since childhood. He was hard working, loyal, and had the best laugh. He will be sorely missed.
Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Wednesday from 8:30 to 10 AM at the Falco CARUSO & Leonard Funeral Home 6600 N. Browning RD in Pennsauken. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Stephen 6300 N. Browning RD in Pennsauken. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill., where John will rest next to his beloved Dee.
