Obituary of Robert B. Hanna

Bob passed peacefully on August 29, 2015 with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Haley) 47 years of marriage; devoted father of Patrick R. Hanna, Kristin (Matt) Abbe; loving grandfather of Nathan, Reese and Leah; brother of Walter H. Hanna Jr., Arlene (Thomas) Hanna Burke; also survived by many loving family members and friends. Bob was the proud proprietor of the famous Philly Fruit Market in Merchantville, NJ for 25 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Bob was involved in the Merchantville community for many years; he served as a borough councilman for 15 years, Director of Public Safety, and member of the planning board. Bob was an avid golfer and winner of the infamous "Merchantville Cup". He loved swimming and softball as well as cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers. Bob also enjoyed fishing and listening to country music. However, nothing matched his love for his family, grandchildren, and friends. Bob will be remembered as a prominent figure in the Merchantville community and for his humble generosity. Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Friday from 6 to 9 PM and Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at Falco CARUSO & Leonard Funeral Home 6600 N. Browning RD in Pennsauken. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church 36 W. Maple Avenue in Merchantville. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill.
