Obituary of Rose Iezzi

Rose A. Iezzi (nee Lomurno), age 92 of Haddon Township, passed away on September 4, 2015 at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, New Jersey. Beloved wife of the late Usanio "Sam"; Devoted mother of Theresa (James) Hoyle, Joseph (Stella) Iezzi, and Marie (Darrin) Dezii; Loving grandmother of Michelle (Sean), Steven (Lindsay), Anthony, Matthew, Paul and Thomas; great grandmother of Chase and step-great grandmother of Elijah, Jack, Brady, Jenna and Ella. Rose was the beloved daughter of the late Dominic and Felicetta (nee LaSirena) Lomurno, and dear sister of the late Frank Lomurno, Mamie Mancini, Peter LoMurno, Jack Lomurno, Daniel Lomurno, Anthony Lomurno, Mary DiFalco, Jerome Lomurno and Mildred Fezio. Rose was so well respected that she was chosen to be godmother to numerous family members and friends. She found great pride and joy in caring for her many nieces and nephews. She was well known for her famous gravy and meatballs. Rose was a lifelong member of the Collingswood Rosary Ladies, past president of the Collingswood Junior Women's Club and Altar & Rosary Society of St. Johns. She was also a member of Altar Care at St. Vincent Pallotti, the Italian American War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Sons of Italy Aligheri-Garibaldi Lodge 494. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 North Browning Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at the Parish of St. Joseph the Worker, Church of St. Vincent Pallotti, 901 Hopkins Road, Haddon Township, NJ 08033. Interment will follow at New St. Mary's Cemetery in Bellmawr. The family requests memorial donations be made to St Vincent Pallotti Church at the above address.
