Obituary of Sonny A. Colon

Sonny A. Colon, of Camden, passed away on November 17, 2015 at 42 years. Beloved husband of Yajaira Tejada, Devoted father of Isamar, Marcos, Jeremy, Nehemaris, Nehemias and Zacarias, Cherished grandson to Caleb Martinez; Loving son of Sonie & Iris Colon; Dear brother of Jose, Marisol, Sonia, Ada and Juana; Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews & cousins. Sonny worked as a machine operator with Airborne Textiles in Pennsauken for many years. He had a love of drag racing, fixing cars as well as being an excellent handy man, he was blessed with the ability to fix houses, doing construction and even knew the trade of plumbing. He also had an artistic side, and enjoyed fashion designing as well as cutting and coloring hair. When it was time for a party, you could always find Sonny dancing, singing, enjoying music and even loved to be a disc jockey. His children will forever remember him for his humble personality and always knew how to make everyone laugh, he was generous; especially on Christmas. He loved to cook meals for his family and lastly he had a strong faith, and loved God unconditionally. Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & funeral on Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM and Wednesdays 10 to 11 AM at the Falco CARUSO & Leonard Funeral Home 6600 N. Browning Road in Pennsauken. An evening service will be celebrated Tuesday at 8:15 PM and a Morning service Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment Harleigh Cemetery in Camden.
