Obituary of Rose Roberto

(nee Marzi) Passed away suddenly on November 20, 2015 in Fort Myers, FL. She was born in Camden, NJ on August 22, 1918 to the late Adorna Caesarone and Alberto Marzi and lived in NJ before moving to Cape Coral, FL, where she lived with her son, John for the past 19 years. Beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Roberto; Devoted mother of Joan (Bernard) Curran, John Roberto, and Rosemarie "Rory" (John) Althans; Loving grandmother of Jennifer Rose and John, Jr. "Johnny" Dear sister of Olga Iannelli and predeceased by her siblings Esther, Eleanor, William, Albert and Frank; Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Rosie loved to read, and also enjoyed Italian cooking, knitting, crocheting, dancing and soap operas. Her greatest pleasure was playing bingo and she went on many bus trips to the Atlantic City casinos with her friends from St. Stephen's Parish when living in NJ. She continued playing bingo, slots and arcades when she moved to Florida and liked going out to lunch and dinner to her favorite restaurants, Perkin's and the Olive Garden, with her son John and their friends. Most of all, she was happiest in the presence of her family members and they will always remember how thrilled she was when they spent time together. Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Thursday from 10 to 11 AM at Falco CARUSO & Leonard Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning RD in Pennsauken. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be take place at 11AM. Entombment Calvary Mausoleum in Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Rosie's name to a charity or church of the donor's choice.
