Obituary of Joseph Kenney

Joseph H. Kenney passed away on December 13, 2015 of Cherry Hill. Age 83 years. Cherished husband for 60 years of Jane A. Kenney (nee Hartman). Loving father of Joseph (Karen), Mary, Daniel (Janice) and Anne (Michael). Devoted grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 3. Dear brother of Richard J. Kenney (Joan) and the late Mary K. Wilson, Thomas J. Kenney, Jr. and Catherine Kenney. Also survived by sister in law Marge Kenney and many loving nieces and nephews. Joe was born in Camden and raised in Merchantville. He was a graduate of St. Joseph's Preparatory School, Villanova University and Temple University School of Law. He served as an officer in the United States Navy. While Joe enjoyed golf, skiing and the Jersey shore, his passion was his family, his faith and the practice of law. Joe was a proud member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and past president of the Camden County Bar Association. He was also a member of the International Society of Barristers, a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He was an adjunct professor of law at Rutgers University of Law and volunteered his time on numerous committees, including serving as president of the New Jersey State Bar Foundation. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday from 6-9 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Rd and Saturday from 10:30-11:30 AM at the Church of St. Thomas More, 1439 Springdale Rd in Cherry Hill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:30 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tom Kenney Scholarship Fund, c/o Camden Catholic High School, 300 Cuthbert Blvd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
