I’ll have many fond memories of Bob, but one of the most outstanding remembrances was the day Bob and you brought your first baby to work (Comp Comm). I have never seen a prouder and smiling dad showing off his baby.
Bob’s smile, his laugh, his commonsense attitude, his teaching ability to make abstruse things seem clear. He managed to teach a liberal arts graduate (me) the ins-and-outs of cellular phone networks. That's the kind of caring person Bob was, as you well know. When I think of him, I think of kindness. I will always keep the memory of Bob in my heart.
Linda, with sincere condolences, Barb Jones

In Australian-speak Bob was my "good mate" from about 4th grade on. We schooled together, ate together, played baseball together (he was our team's catcher), went to Camp Ockanickon together (in the Pines), did stage crew stuff together, double-dated for PHS dances, solved Miss Nolan's chemistry homework problems together (a DDD activity), went to Michigan (he to Michigan, I to MSU - "the Cow College") for study and travel, shared best-man roles at each other's wedding. He had a ready laugh, was a steady, reliable friend, a very practically clever bloke and a really devoted family man. Our times together became quite limited when I move to Australia (a long time ago now), but whenever we were able to get together it didn't take long for the separation of miles and years to fade into the background over chats in the living room, lunch or dinner out somewhere, revisiting PHS or the Camp, or whatever. Then, despite his growing infirmity, how special was that PHS '62/'63 Reunion Lunch we got to share in 2017! Rest peacefully old friend - I'm grateful we traveled at least some of life together. To Linda, Karen, Keith and Kevin, Mary Lou and I send our deepest and most sincere condolences, praying you find the One we know as the Comforter of all Comforters is sustaining each of you in your own private loss and separation.

I remember Bob and his family with fond memories growing up at Temple Lutheran Church. His parents and Linda’s parents as well. A good man always willing to help with the tech needs at church and teaching me about electronics as well. God bless the family. These past several years have been difficult for your family. I will keep you in my prayers.

I knew Bob for many years from being best friends with his daughter, Karin. One of the fondest memories I have of Bob was in high school, when I received a call from Bob asking me if I could come to their house for breakfast the next morning for Karin’s birthday. It was a surprise to Karin. He picked me up early on the morning of her birthday and I was sitting in her kitchen waiting to surprise her. He made us our favorite at the time... frozen Celeste pizza. Really, it was our favorite. ;) I remember thinking it was just the coolest thing that one,
he planned this without her knowing and two, made us pizza for breakfast!!! After breakfast, he drove us to high school, but no one knew that we had had the best morning eating a hearty breakfast of pizza. Those are the special kind of things Bob was always doing. He will be dearly missed.
