Obituary of Monica Morris

Monica Morris (nee Rhooms), age 85 of Pennsauken, New Jersey, formerly of Jamaica, passed away at her home on February 24, 2024. She was born on September 30, 1938 in Linstead, St. Catherine, Jamaica to the late Mortimer Rhooms and Cyrena Brooks.

She is the beloved wife of the late Castel; devoted mother of Cyanworth, Suzanne, Opal and Castel Morris; cherished grandmother of Mariah Rivers; dear sister of Lincoln Rhooms and caring aunt to many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her siblings Joseph, Harold, Avis, Caroline Cassilda (Hope), Cardinal Alphanso (Mustan), Pauline Adasa (Sister), Jimmy (Baby), Bertram Alfred (Manley), Alma Lurline (Mercy), Dorothea Niomi (Joy), Kernel (Babie), Solomon DeCosta (Small), Myrtle Blanche (Pleasant).

Mrs. Morris was a member of the 4H Club and Kiwanis International and in her free time, she enjoyed travelling, crocheting, playing games on her iPad, reading books and watching game shows.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday, March 8 from 10 to 11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson.
