Hola mama flora This is Jessy writing you a letter from college! I am currently sitting in the amphitheater outside getting eaten by all the mosquitoes haha (see picture). I hope you are doing good and I love you very much. I heard that you are in the hospital and I wanted to send you some well wishes. Thank you for being my one and only great grandma, the greatest great grandma in the world. I love remembering all the fun holidays and parties we spent together. Yummy thanksgiving foods, I LOVE your rice and pernil, I hope i will be able to cook as good as you one day . It was also very fun showing you my improved spanish and going bowling with you at Lalas birthday, I was being so funny. Without you I would not be here on this planet and I am so appreciative for the opportunity you have given us. I’m sure Vanessa and Evelyn have told you, but I wanted to share the good news with you that I am working on going to medical school to become a doctor, so be nice to your doctors hahaha because that will be me in the future. It’s amazing and I love the science that I’m learning and all the cool ways that the body works. I work very hard in school and also have a lot of fun socializing. A lot of the time I spend with my friends from church and I pray to God daily all the time. I would not be here without you and I’m so happy that I can spend time with someone who has 4 generations of life above me to share. I’m praying for you and I am very proud to call you my Mama Flora. Me and the family are very grateful and have a lot of adoration for you and all the things you’ve done for us. Stay strong! Love you so much… don’t forget without you we wouldn’t have mama flora soup.
